Now in it's 3rd year, the Downland night ride is something different.

If you haven't tried the joys of riding at night through quiet country lanes and cycle paths then this is your opportunity to do it with a small group of riders.

The ride is led at a steady pace, no one will get left behind.

We set off from Downland Cycles at 10pm and ride around the Kent coast before heading inland to the quiet lanes. We will be riding between 75 and 100 km, and aim to finish around 6am for a Cafe breakfast back in Canterbury.

Come down and join us, places are limited so book early.

Good lights are necessary with a long burn time. We recommend Exposure Lights or a good hub dynamo. A limited number of Exposure Race Lights are available to hire, so please phone after booking to secure a set if you need one.
A small back up light is also highly recommended, as is a rear LED with fresh batteries. (We do ask though that riders do not bring 1/2 or 1 Watt LED rear lights, these maybe great when out on your own but if you are riding in a group they are to bright for other riders.
