Development and frame testing facilities available, and their
technical expertise, combined with our riding backgrounds and
experience in frame design, allow us to offer an unparalleled range
of UK designed frames. |

 |
Our ‘Kinesis
UK’ frames are as advanced as the best frames in the world and
designed for the unique conditions and riding styles of the UK and
because we are relatively small, we can move fast, bringing the
latest tubing and joining technology to the UK market as soon as it
is available. Our ‘Racelight KiC’ used Hydroforming 4 years ago,
way before all the big boys had cottoned on.
Because Kinesis International builds the frames directly for us, we
can offer all this technology, advanced materials and sensible
design at prices that others cannot compete with.

|
| Our
frames are fully rider tested and thanks to the constant feedback
from our supported riders and Kinesis UK Race Team, our frames are
in a continual state of advance. Be it moving a cable stop to a
better position, making a full geometry change or adding a new model
like the unique ‘Racelight Tk’, we are small enough to listen
and take the care to get all the important details spot on. |

Lightning fast and more responsive
and comfortable than ever, the 2006 KiC2 remains at the cutting edge
of alloy frame technology.
The KiC has been developed by direct
feedback from our Kinesis UK team, and becomes the KiC2. The
geometry has been modified giving a better fit and riding position
throughout the sizes, front centres are shorter, headtubes are
longer and the seat and head tube angles vary across the size range. The
frame still uses the superbly detailed, smooth welded, Hydroformed
Kinesium front tubes giving unparalleled strength and stiffness at
the head tube and BB, the down tube ‘flares’ at the BB giving
maximum tube area and amazing response. |
Racelight Kic2
The KiC2 uses new ‘tuned carbon
wishbone’ seatstays that have been tuned to match the
characteristics of the frame, further enhancing power output and
comfort. The deep section ‘carblade’ chainstays are bonded to
the BB via a large section, smooth jointed tube, once again
maximising power output at the wheel and even the mech. hanger has
been modified to speed up crucial racing wheel changes. The decals
are all new for 2006 and there is a stunning new ‘Tungsten
Silver’ colour option. 52, 54, 56,

For 2006, we have
left the geometry of the 48, 51 and 55cm sizes alone, but the 45 has
undergone some changes. The smallest frame has a shortened front
centre making it more suitable for smaller riders and for the first
time it has ‘carbonstrutt’ carbon seat stays specially developed
for this frame. The RC’s amazing ride quality is due to the use of
advanced Kinesium tubing, high modulus, smooth jointed, tuned carbon
wishbone seatstays [on 48, 51 and 55cm sizes, 45cm size has twin
carbonstrutt stays] and UK designed, race ready geometry. Our hand
built frames are joined using advanced ‘UltraSmoothWeldProfile’
technology, giving strong, stress free welds and a super clean
appearance. The top tube and seat tube are ‘Power Bulged’ giving
maximum area at the head tube and BB for ultimate stiffness and
response. The down tube has an Aero top section and is ovalised at
the BB, further enhancing power transfer. The decals are all new for
2006 and there is a new ‘Gloss Battleship Grey’ colour

A unique and superbly detailed
frame, designed to excel in the winter and perform as an all year
round race frame.
The new lightweight Racelight Tk winter
training frame has all the proven details of the Racelight T but
uses advanced, smooth welded, Kinesium tubing to make it one of the
lightest and most responsive winter trainers available. Using the
proven race inspired geometry of the Racelight T, the Racelight Tk
takes the winter training frame to a new level, and by using
advanced Kinesium alloy, we have bought the weight of this frame
down to just over 1.4kg [3lbs] for the 54cm size. Both the
‘T’ and ‘Tk’ use longer headtubes for a more upright riding
position and have rack mounts and ample clearance for full size
‘gaurds and larger winter tyres [long reach brakes required].
|
Racelight
TK

The top tube is ‘power bulged’ at the
headtube for maximum stiffness and the oversize, thin-wall down tube
is aero section at the top and ovalised where it meets the BB for
maximum weld area and response. The ‘hourglass’ seatstays give
maximum comfort for long training rides and the oversize chainstays
and large downtube area at the BB keep power loss to a minimum |
|
|
The Racelight T has all the details that
make a great winter trainer, lightweight tourer, Audax machine or
year round racer; Lightweight, 7005 double butted tubing,
comfortable ‘hourglass’ seatstays for those long winter rides,
stiff responsive chainstays for great response, plenty of clearance
for full size mudguards and larger winter tyres [long reach brakes
required], rack mounts, twin bottle cages and tough paint finishes.
This revised frame has been tested by roadcyclinguk.com
and received a top review, scoring 10/10 for value
and 9/10 for the frame overall, and Cycling
Plus, Dec. ’05, “….the Racelight T has a liveliness
that makes it fun to ride fast or slow and proves the point that
winter riding need not be a joyless experience….”. Team it
up with our award winning full carbon ‘Racelight T’ winter fork
for an outstanding value [frame and fork under £330!] winter
training package.

Pha5e

A hardcore hardtail,
designed for 'Radical XC', point the bike down hill, let the fork
take the hits and float the rear end over the bumps, then ride up
ready for the next drop. A new price for 2006 makes this advanced
frame even greater value!
Bike Magic -
Verdict
"This frame is tough enough to handle hard hitting jump action,
but is adaptable enough for longer rides with some sessioning thrown
into the mix. Or to put it another way, it's a mountain bike like
mountain bikes used to be - fun all-rounders. If you're looking for
a race bike look elsewhere, but if you're riding for the hell of it
the Pha5e is well worth a look.......and with a recent price drop
the £399 price tag is fairly reasonable given the line-up of frames
Kinesis have squared it up against. We like the Pha5e. It's
different and attempts, and manages, to stand out in a growing
market". Performance 5/5 Value 5/5 Overall 5/5 |
The pha5e frame geometry is for a 135 –
150mm travel fork, the new crop of adjustable travel suspension
forks are the ideal partners for this frame. The pha5e uses
lightweight ‘Easton RadXC’ taperwall tubing [the Med. Size
weighs only 1.8kg!], the square front section of the tubes gives a
huge weld area at the head tube and avoids the need for extra
gussets. ‘Smooth weld technology’ helps to eliminate any stress
raisers in the weld bead and gives a super clean look to the frame.
The top tube is dropped at the rear on the M and L sizes, decreasing
the stand-over height for greater manoeuvrability and the unique,
Hydroformed, rear stays are designed to give an extremely stiff and
tough rear triangle with ample clearance for a 2.5” Freeride tyre.
2006 pha5e frames have slightly
tweaked geometry, revised graphics, new ‘Matt Anti Radar Green’
finish and great new price

This frame is a best selling
classic. Easton Ultralight Taperwall tubing and dialled geometry
make this a serious frame, designed to be ridden in a fun way.
The Maxlight XC has a shorter top tube than
the XCPro2 giving it a less stretched, direct steering feel, ideal
for days out on the trails. The Maxlight XC takes a 100mm suspension
fork and the geometry, coupled with the Easton tubeset, give a
quick, responsive and eager ride. The ‘hourglass’ seat and
chainstays give great tyre and heel clearance and help to tune out
any harshness. Disc brake mount, convertible cable stops, hose clips
and stiff 'shrouded' dropouts make this a killer frame for an all
day ride, some singletrack or technical trails.

Maxlight XC

MaxligtXC120>

This new frame is packed with features,
including: Hydroformed Kinesium top tube with cable stops and hose
clips neatly tucked out of the way underneath, Kinesium
down tube with New 3D down tube gussett , Kinesium seat tube
with forward facing slot, comfortable hourglass 'Kinesis Superlight'
stays with neat hose clips, New forged dropouts, New ZeroStack head
tube. |
This new frame is at the forefront
of thinking as far as MTB geometry, tubing and riding styles are
concerned.
The Easton tubed Maxlight XC is still
extremely popular, but times are moving on and longer travel forks
are becoming the norm. The XC>120 is based on the much loved
geometry of the Maxlight XC but has been re-designed to accomodate
the latest crop of modern, adjustable 100 - 130mm suspension
forks. It is designed for the same quick handling riding
style as the Maxlight XC, but with the added dimension that a longer
travel fork can give.
The XC>120 is light too! The 42cm
frame weighs only 1520g!
