Felt are an American bike brand we have been selling now for 2 years and have been very impressed with the quality of the build and the ride.

Felt's Virtue series was the first bicycle category to utilize the revolutionary and patented Equilink suspension technology. With 130mm of ultra-efficient suspension travel, this platform has been optimized for endurance racing as well as everyday trail riding. For 2008 the Virtue continues to deliver an unbeatable combination of performance traits while employing some of the most cutting-edge materials and manufacturing processes of our time. Felt have developed their range of full suspension bikes which include the Compulsion and Redemption.

 

Compulsion

Brand new for 2008 is Felt's Compulsion series, the second of three categories utilizing Felt's revolutionary and patented Equilink suspension technology.
Compared to its Virtue sibling, the Compulsion features a shorter top tube, a more upright cockpit, an aluminum sub-frame, a more relaxed geometry, and stouter tubing throughout. With nearly 6 inches 145mm) of rear axle travel and a category-tuned Equilink system, you have yourself an efficient, aggressive trail & all-mountain machine.

Like all Equilink-equipped platforms we produce, the Compulsion was designed to offer fluid suspension performance while remaining remarkably efficient; built for durability while remaining as lightweight as possible for its intended purpose. And if you’re like most of us, looking for that “one bike” to handle it all, you, yourself have given the Compulsion purpose.
Redemption

The all-new Felt Redemption: the most efficient 165mm (6.5 inches) of travel you are likely to find on the planet. Felt's longest-travel suspension offering for 2008 proves that Equilink technology can turn even big-hit bikes into efficient, precision pedaling machines. Made from tough, light and resilient 6000 series aluminum, the frame is designed to handle whatever you can dish out. A solid all-around performer, the Redemption climbs technical single track like a goat and rewards your efforts by taming even the meanest and most brutal descents. 

Efficient, stiff, stable, fast, and notably lightweight - considering the punishment it was built to endure - the Redemption bundles all the key attributes together for riders seeking that next step in suspension travel. PERFORMANCE, GEOMETRY AND THE RIDE
All three Virtue models are exceptionally lightweight considering the generous 130mm of travel they deliver, not to mention their ability to handle day-to-day trail abuse. All models feature ultra-lightweight front triangles, race-oriented geometry and top tube lengths. Whether you need a race machine or a high performance, lightweight trail bike, there is a model within the Virtue lineup to meet your needs.
In the spirit of what Equilink suspension was designed to accomplish, the Virtue series embodies those two all-inclusive, key elements we envisioned our dream bikes to possess: Unrivaled speed and unprecedented simplicity.

There are some out there who think that hardtails are still the bike of choice and Felt has a good selection with their Q series for everyday cross country riding and their RXC range for XC racing.

 RXC equals Race Cross Country, and there is simply no better way to describe what these machines were designed to do. 

At Felt, we believe that when it comes to XC racing frames, the best possible balance of weight, strength, comfort, energy efficiency, and off-road durability is achieved by using our carbon-plus-aluminum design platform. Our goal is to extract the ideal characteristics from two different materials and blend them together into one seamless, finished product. We have taken our years of traditional tube forming experience and blended in today’s carbon fiber technology precisely where both can offer the greatest benefit to the racer.

For 2008, RXC geometry has been optimized around 100mm travel forks, to take advantage of today’s suspension technology. A long, sloping top tube, short rear end and quick, aggressive geometry all contribute to their race ability.

Felt Q series are designed for everyday cross country performance, the technology inside the frame is nothing short of extraordinary. All Q’s share state-of-the-art forming technologies with the RXC's.

For 2008 the Q series underwent a significant redesign to reduce weight, as well as to capitalize on the latest in tube forming technology. All Q models feature a new rear triangle which has been simultaneously slimmed down and stiffened by employing a new A-stay design. Upper end Q models even benefit from a new doublehydroform top tube, adding stiffness as well as style with a muscular flare at the seat tube function. All Q’s utilize an externally butted seat tube an oversized/flared down tube. 

When it comes to the ride and handling, Q frame geometry can be described as less aggressive and a bit more upright, providing greater comfort in all-condition type riding. The seat tube is oversized at the BB shell for max stiffness, yet tapers back at the top, providing for a smaller diameter, more compliant seatpost. Combined, these features give Q frames their lightweight and comfortable feel, as well as exceptional power transfer and climbing ability.
